WHY YOGA?

I practiced different forms of yoga for over 20 years as a form of "zen dieting" and a way to rid my body of stress. When the mental weight was lifted I would, as many dieters do, get off track with my practice. Eventually the mental "weight" comes back when the habits don't become a way of life. So, with two, 200hr Teacher Trainings under my belt, an OHM tattoo on my wrist, and a regular teaching schedule I do my best to breathe mindfully, take time to detach before reacting, live in the moment and take the lessons I learn on the mat into life.

WHAT TRAININGS AND EXPERIENCES HAVE MADE YOU THE TEACHER YOU ARE TODAY?

My trainings include 200 hr Body Matrix with Victoria Haffer and A 200 hr Wild Wisdom Yoga with Jessie Dwiggins. Since a 4 day workshop with Josh Summers and Yin/Meditation/Meridians, I have become slightly obsessed with his podcast, "Everyday Sublime" to continue learning.

WHAT CAN A STUDENT EXPECT IN YOUR CLASS?

In my class you will experience light-hearted humor and an acceptance focused approach. My goal in each class is to connect with my students to foster an environment where everyone feels like they are part of something special.
