WHY YOGA?
I was a group fitness instructor and personal trainer for many years. Yoga was something I had flirted with occasionally, up until 2011, when I realized I needed it more in my life, as a way to balance out the routine of regular strength and cardio classes. My first "official" heated yoga class was at USMMA with Jessie. Something connected, and I made my decision to pursue this type of training more fully.
WHAT TRAININGS AND EXPERIENCES HAVE MADE YOU THE TEACHER YOU ARE TODAY?
My early trainings were through YogaFit in 2012. After taking and falling in love with heated vinyasa, I made the choice to switch my path to pursuing this type of yoga teacher training. In 2014 I obtained my 200 hour Power Vinyasa training under the guidance of Lesley Reilly through her studio , BCalm Yoga in Hopkinton, In 2016 I traveled to Menla, NY to train with Baron Baptiste, obtaining my Level 1 Baptiste yoga certification. Most recently- in 2021 - I achieved my goal of completing my 300 advanced training through Shanti Yoga in Hopkinton. In addition I have also studied Yin Yoga training under the guidance of Sagel Urlacher. I love to be a student and am always eager to learn.
WHAT CAN A STUDENT EXPECT IN YOUR CLASS?
I sometimes have a specific intention or theming my classes; it may be a peak pose, or focus on a certain muscle group. Sometimes it’s just a matter of getting on the mat and seeing what develops. Regardless, you can always expect creative sequencing, breathwork, inspiring tunes and
sneaky strength!

OFF THE MAT…
I am a full-time insurance coordinator (30 years) with a large dental group practice. I STILL love and continue to teach indoor cycling. I am passionate about: my family - my husband and I are married over 30 years, and I have three fabulous kids; my cats; my road bike; my sewing machine. And finally, I give thanks to God with what He has blessed me with.
