Jessie Dwiggins
Why Yoga?
Yoga helps me understand my body and mind, challenges my limits, and allows me to connect with myself and others.
What Trainings and Experiences Have Made You the Teacher You Are Today?
I have degrees in nutrition and exercise physiology and a graduate degree in nutrition. A 500 HR E-RYT, I began teaching in 2007 and completed advanced training in Forrest Yoga, Yoga Tune Up®, and Functional Range Conditioning® (FRC). I also hold a 500 HR certificate with Heidi Sormaz and am a licensed Am I Hungry® Mindful Eating facilitator.
What Can a Student Expect in Your Class?
I guide anatomy-curious practitioners to feel better in their bodies through functional movement-based Vinyasa. My goal is to create a space free of self-judgment where students can expand their boundaries, understand movement patterns, and find balance.
Off the Mat:
I co-own Borealis Coffee Company in Riverside, RI, teach mindful eating courses, and enjoy long walks with my dog.
Words I Live By:
“We are not separate from nature, and yoga does not happen in isolation.”
