WHY MMA?
I’ve been with USMMA since 2008, when I was just 14 years old. High school sports weren’t capturing my attention anymore, and I was looking for something different—something that challenged me physically and mentally. I found that in Muay Thai. In 2011, I added Jiu Jitsu to my training, and over time, martial arts became more than a hobby—it became my career and lifestyle.

WHAT TRAININGS AND EXPERIENCES HAVE MADE YOU THE COMPETITOR AND TEACHER YOU ARE TODAY?
After years of dedicated training in Muay Thai and Jiu Jitsu, I began competing in MMA, turning amateur in 2014 and going pro in 2018. I’ve had over 25 fights and held the 115lb amateur title before going pro. In 2023, I was honored to earn my No-Gi black belt from my coaches, Tom and Matt—a milestone that represents not just my technical growth, but also my evolution as a teacher and martial artist.
Throughout this journey, I’ve discovered the importance of resilience, adaptability, and the mindset of lifelong learning. My exploration into Yoga brought even deeper insight into the mental and physical connection that fuels performance. In May 2023, I completed my 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training with Jessie Dwiggins and Jacqui Bonwell. I now teach Jiu Jitsu, Muay Thai, and Yoga, and serve as the Kids Martial Arts Program Director here at USMMA.

WHAT CAN A STUDENT EXPECT IN YOUR CLASS?
High energy, focused instruction, and an emphasis on growth—whether you're here to compete, train for fitness, or develop confidence and discipline.

OFF THE MAT…
Off the mat I enjoy spending time with friends and family and taking walks with my dog. But most of the time I’m thinking about training.
