I started my yoga practice in earnest in 2004. Curious about biomechanics and mindfulness, I immersed myself in a 30-day Forrest Yoga Foundational Teacher Training Program for my 200-HR teaching certification.
Since that first training, my thirst for knowledge has yet to be quenched. I’ve completed the Forrest Yoga Advanced Teacher Training Program, Forrest Yoga Mentorship Program, and Yoga Tune Up® Certification, and 500 hour Teacher Training with

Fresh Yoga. And that’s just yoga, I also earned my master’s degree in dietetics and I’m a licensed Am I Hungry?® Mindful Eating Facilitator.
I’ve been teaching since 2007 to classes ranging in size from 1 to 1000 – as a featured teacher at Yoga Reaches Out. I co-authored Yoga and Mindful Eating with Michelle May, M.D. I’ve learned a tremendous amount from my own practice and creating and teaching my own yoga teacher training programs.
My mission is to share this knowledge of our inner workings to help you self-soothe frazzled nerves and feel at home in your body. I’m in this to make a difference for you because it has made such a difference for me.
Jacqui Bonwell E-RYT 500
Jacqui Bonwell feels she has no business teaching Yoga. She has been teaching for 18 years, both Yoga & Meditation. She still feels she has no business teaching Yoga : ) She sees herself as just the loudest student talking.
She holds a PhD in Imposter Syndrome and a Masters in Humor. That said, the teachings are too important for low self esteem to get in the way. So, she just shares and dares greatly. Jacqui graduated from the University of Rhode Island. She worked in Ireland, Oregon and Mass. a
